- Come to all Board and Association meetings (see list of meetings to left) Attend and assist with PTA events/activities
- Check emails and text for PTA business and respond timely
- Be available to answer (or find answers) to questions from parents or staff
- Be respectful of other board members: use meeting time for meeting purposes, allow others to complete their thoughts during discussions, allow for variety of viewpoints
- Be respectful of school community, including teaching staff, administration, and other parents
- Transfer of knowledge and relevant materials from previous officers to current.

The Beckford PTA is excited for you to be a part of the Beckford community!
As part of its mission of serving as a platform for parents and teachers to work together in the education of the children at Beckford, the Beckford PTA serves as a hub for volunteering and fundraising at the school. Joining the PTA does not mean an obligation to volunteer or participate in fundraising; what it does mean is that parents can join forces with an organization that fights for the quality of their children’s education on local, state, and national level. The Beckford PTA produces a wide variety of activities and events for the school and its children, and funds critical school programs: computer lab instruction, field trip buses, psychomotor program, library book purchases, among other items.
Beckford has strong tradition of parent involvement at the school. The Beckford PTA organizes many of the big events and weekly activities on the campus, including Fall Festival, Family Fun Day, Book Fair, Valentine Dance, Golf Tournament, Frozen Fridays, Recycling, and many others. If you have an interest volunteering for the school and would like to contribute to the enhancement of your student's educational environment, here’s your opportunity to contribute to the Beckford Community!
