ORIENTATION AND ELECTION ANNOUNCEMENT
You are encouraged to make a difference in the governance of our school by participating in this year’s Governance Council. An orientation has been scheduled to provide you with an understanding of the purpose of the Governance Council and to explain the election process.

WELCOME/CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Meeting Called to Order by Mrs. Brower at 3:02pm

None.
QUORUM
There were 7 voting members present.

NEW BUSINESS
Mrs. Brower, Principal
- Mrs. Brower is applying for the ELOP Grant that would give us 90k to be spent on afterschool enrichment. This will also extend a couple of weeks into the summer. This grant is only for affiliated charter schools.
- Computerwise Kids has quoted us 30K for coding, robotics etc. it will cover grades K-1 and 2-5.
- Working with Ballroom Dance and waiting on quote for some afterschool/summer classes.
- Lastly, working with some teachers to create some fun educational classes.
- All of this would be paid for by the grant.
**Motion to approve applying for the ELOP Grant was made by Mrs. Brower and seconded by Jenny. The results were 7 in favor, 0 opposed and 0 abstentions. **The motion passes
- We have been given a 97k funds to be spent on visual and performing arts that needs to be spent by the end of the year. We are very limited on what we can use the money for but some of the examples are (school buses for field trips, field trip entry, art supplies etc.)
- Funds will be replenished July 1st again but will not be rolled over. We need to use it.
